چکیده

Abstract Aim A comprehensive review of the literature on current and future applications artificial intelligence (AI) in context urological oncology. Method Four key areas oncology were identified, a was carried out each area looking at AI. These four included: Prostate cancer, Renal Bladder Robotic Surgery. Results In total, 63 primary research articles reviewed across these areas. For prostate, renal bladder AI has already shown great promise imaging histopathology interpretation, predicting tumour grade, reducing inter-observer variability identification genomic biomarkers. robotic surgery, demonstrated value assessment operator skill using this to predict surgical outcomes. However, some common limitations applicability into clinical practice include an overwhelming predominance small retrospective studies, concerns over datasets methodology training, complexity algorithms being such that they become un-interpretable technological requirements ethical considerations with so much confidential “big data.” Conclusions The potential for improve care is clearly unparalleled but there remain significant challenges adoption practice. Future will need focus establishment multi-institute open access databases improved data collection integration training ultimately, be realised, needs high-quality prospective randomised studies.
